Mills Tavern

The Mills Tavern is an upscale seasonal restaurant nestled in
the culinary – rich North Main Street area of Providence, Rhode
Island. The restaurant is located in the
old Pilgrim Mills Building and still has a lot of  the charm, and
beauty of an era long ago. The restaurant has red brick walls,
vaulted casement ceilings, dark woods and heavy linen covered
tables that orates class and elegance. This combination adds to
the feeling that one might be gathering in an old Eighteenth-
century tavern.
Most of the old pillars have been given a dark burnished finish
combined with rough ledge stone. The classic look with
references to colonial times featuring globed chandeliers, wide
plank floors and an oyster-shell mosaic at the raw bar is
attractive and seductive.
Owner Jaime D'Oliveira has created a warm and inviting room
where a wood-burning oven and in the open kitchen extends
warmth into the dining rooms. Whether it is fresh oysters at
the bar or dinner in our inviting dining room, you will be
offered a wonderful experience at Mills Tavern. Feel free to
chat with friends while seated at our Chef’s Table or for more
intimacy, our private dining room is available for groups up to
20 people.
Fresh seasonal and local ingredients inspire Chef Christian
Pieper’s creative process, which incorporates a multitude of
flavors for our seasonal fare.
Mills Tavern cuts all of the steaks, chops, and fish fresh daily.
We use only the finest and freshest ingredients available to
bring you the best quality dining experience.
